Better late than never. Here is a picture of our Layla Rose in her dress.
Fairy Day and Picnic
27 JunOnce a year a local garden holds it’s Fairy Day in which little girls dress in their best fairy costumes, build fairy gardens for display and competition and families picnic on the lawn. It’s become, (over the years), a very popular event and it’s even featured in Sunset Magazine. We got to experience it ourselves this year. Both Reese and Layla donned their fairy wings and we spent the afternoon walking through the gardens and lounging on the grass.
You can see pictures from the day through this link. Fairy Day Photos
Yeeeeehaaaawww!
23 Jun
Last Friday Alexis and I had a date night with Reese to take her to see her (current) favorite movie Toy Story 3. Needless to say we (Alexis and I) were very excited. We had been building it up for weeks. We just knew Reese would love it, the drama of the theater, the popcorn and of course the movie itself. After all, Reese dreams about Woody, Buzz, Jessie (just ask her).
Well, it was as fun as we thought. We bought Reese a Jessie doll with a pull string that, among other things exclaims, “Yeeeeeeehaaaaw!” and gave it to her at the theater before the movie. Reese’s sippy cup and Baby Peter shot out of her hands so she could hold her. She was instantly her new favorite.
Inside we got Reese arranged on her booster seat. It took her a couple of minutes to get used to the theater and all of the commotion from other kids and parents. She sat quietly as everyone got settled and the movie started. After seeing Tinker Bell fly over the Disney castle Reese knew what was going on and smiled with anticipation and excitement. The movie was great. We all enjoyed it. We all smiled, cried and laughed. It was everything we thought it would be and I’m sure a “first” memory that we’ll never forget.
We’re Back Baby!
23 JunA lot of time has passed between posts here, but now we’re back!
The girls have been growing up before our eyes and we have a lot of pictures to share and firsts to report, so stay tuned. Sign up in the right sidebar to receive alerts on new posts to the blog here and stay in touch. Your information doesn’t get shared at all. It’s just an easy way to know when there’s new content here.
We hope to see many of you in person soon, but until then, as life moves forward, we’ll update this page with what’s going on with us. Promise. You might notice the next few posts are out of order chronologically. We’ll be going back in time a bit to catch up, but soon enough things will be current here.

My favorite thing
8 DecEver since Eric and I started dating we talked about having a family together. I always knew that he would be a great dad, but to watch him love our little girl has been more than I could have hoped for. This is a picture of the two of them sleeping together on a Sunday afternoon.
Just a few more
8 DecGee, once you get starting adding photos of someone so cute, it’s really hard to stop.
It’s been a while
8 DecSorry there haven’t been any updates, we’ve been busy. Here are some recent pictures of our little Reese, she’s grown so much.
Play Dates
13 OctNine days after our little Reese was born Monique and Tommy welcomed their first son, Tristan into the world. Naturally Monique and I got them together for a play date… we’ll use that term loosely ( they mostly just sleep). Here are some pictures of them from a couple of different days, I am sure that there will be more to come.
