Last Friday Alexis and I had a date night with Reese to take her to see her (current) favorite movie Toy Story 3. Needless to say we (Alexis and I) were very excited. We had been building it up for weeks. We just knew Reese would love it, the drama of the theater, the popcorn and of course the movie itself. After all, Reese dreams about Woody, Buzz, Jessie (just ask her).
Well, it was as fun as we thought. We bought Reese a Jessie doll with a pull string that, among other things exclaims, “Yeeeeeeehaaaaw!” and gave it to her at the theater before the movie. Reese’s sippy cup and Baby Peter shot out of her hands so she could hold her. She was instantly her new favorite.
Inside we got Reese arranged on her booster seat. It took her a couple of minutes to get used to the theater and all of the commotion from other kids and parents. She sat quietly as everyone got settled and the movie started. After seeing Tinker Bell fly over the Disney castle Reese knew what was going on and smiled with anticipation and excitement. The movie was great. We all enjoyed it. We all smiled, cried and laughed. It was everything we thought it would be and I’m sure a “first” memory that we’ll never forget.
